and join Carol for a fun evening of conversation, demonstrations, and
show and tell. Occasionally we have guest speakers, serve snacks, and
always enjoy the company of fellow quilters. This year we are
featuring the Kansas Troubles Stash Society and Charmed Club programs
. If you choose to participate in this part of the club, there
will be a fee of $10 every three months. As a member, you will
receive patterns, recipes and newsletters each month. You will also be
able to purchase featured kits at a discount the evening of the meeting. |

Christmas Club: Zippy Strippy

Terry Atkinson's patterns are wonderful to follow. Kathy will
show you her easy way to install a zipper and then you'll have some fun
with embellishments to make this cute bag. It can be used for
everything from a cosmetic bag to any organizational bag.

Don’t you think that this is a perfect class for Carol to teach?
She’s found another ruler that can do some tremendous looks
with minimal effort. Just bring in your sewing machine and scraps
cut into 4 ½ inch strips and you‘ll be able to piece some amazing
looking blocks. Book and ruler purchase is required.

T-Shirt

Thursday, Feb. 23 and March 1: 5-9 pm
Need a graduation gift? Have an overcrowded dresser drawer of keepsake
t-shirts? Then create a t-shirt quilt! Bring 12-15 logo t-shirts
(washed without fabric softener)and learn to prepare the shirts and
assemble your quilt. For the first night of the class please bring
scissors, a rotary cutter, mat and ruler. Also bring 1/2 yard of
sheerweight interfacing per t-shirt or purchase it at the shop the
night of the class. The second night you will need basic sewing
supplies, sewing machine and the rotary cutter, mat and ruler.

Learn the basics of stippling and machine quilting with practice
samples we provide. You need a walking foot and free motion foot for
your machine to take this class. Please have the make and model
number of your machine ready when you sign up for the class and Kathy
can order the feet for you. Please allow at least two weeks

be using the Quilty Trio pattern to make a cute table topper that works
perfectly for all seasons or to match your home decor. The quilt
as you go method is wonderful because once your piecing is finished, so
is your quilting. Bind and you're ready to go on to the next
project. The pattern includes 3 different toppers. This is
a great way to build your gift giving stash and to use up your smaller
pieces of batting. Come join Marianne for an evening of fun.

It's amazing how many gifts that can be made with a simple tea
towel. Marianne will show you how to do fusible applique to dress
up a kitchen towel or how you can turn that towel into an apron with a
few seams. We will have several kits available to choose from and
will also have some panels available to cut apart and make a lovely
gift. These make great gifts for teachers, Sunday School staff,
or the neighbor across the road. |
