Scrap Therapy; Cutting Session  $15+     Group 1                           
Thursday, January 8, 1-3 PM or 6-8 PM
$15 includes a free bin for storage.   Bring in your cutting mat, rotary cutter and baskets or bags of scraps.  We’ll get them all organized and ready for our next project.  After the cutting workshop, you can attend any or all of the classes that interest you.  What a great way to begin the new year!

Winner’s Bouquet         $25+                                               
Saturday, January 10, 9:30-3:30
A new technique and template to make gentle curved seams in a quilt block.  These curves fall together so easily you only need three pins to hold the curve while you stitch.  There are several design options for this basic block--it’ll look great in 30’s, batiks and Civil War reproduction fabrics. Come try it for yourself.
This class is recommended for intermediate quilters. Pattern with template purchase required.

Marianne has “pieced” together a club that will take your fear out of paper piecing.  The club will meet monthly where a small seasonal  project will be finished before you leave the shop  Come join Marianne and conquer those fears.  Pattern purchase is required.  Kits will be available for most of the projects.

These three sessions will take you through the basics of learning to piece quilt tops. Everything from rotary cutting, sewing, pressing, layering and binding a quilt will be covered. You will sew a small quilt that can be used as a wall hanging, table topper or lap quilt. Book purchase required.

This is a no-sew class!  You can create a winter landscape scene featuring deer grazing in the snow, a beautiful picture in blues and whites. Doris brings the kit for you to purchase and you can order a mat and framing for your work of art from her. Come see the sample in our shop.

Here is another technique that allows you to be creative with fabric.  The Ricky Timms method uses one yard of multicolored fabric slice, sew, then cut again and the end result is a one of a kind work of art.

Kathy will take you through the basics of machine quilting.  We will provide practice samples for you to learn how to stipple and use the walking foot.  Your sewing machine needs to be in good working order and you need a free motion foot and walking foot.  We can order them if you provide us with the make and model number of your machine at least three weeks before the class.
